Long Stories & Backstories:
The Epic Collection
There's a special luxury about reading a full-length backstory. These start at novella-length (15,000 words) and work upwards of 50,000. Most have strong conspiracy and mythology threads into the bargain.
Eschaton 1 2 3 4 Missing Scene
R-rated Knowle/Shannon mythology backstory, pre-XF through the series and beyond. You don't have to be mortal to love. You don't have to be human to feel. See also missing scene Act Of Contrition.
Restitution 1 2 3 4
R-rated Krycek/Marita backstory, spanning the period from Herrenvolk through to The Truth. Sometimes, to face the future, you have to face the past. Content advisory: references to rape.
Healer 1 2 3 4 5
PG Season 8 mythology tie-in, spanning the period from TINH to Existence and beyond. Four factions. Three species. Two men. One woman. Krycek, Marita, and Jeremiah Smith take to the road in search of others like Mulder.
Not My Lover 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Afterword
NC17 Krycek/Marita backstory, spanning the time from Anasazi to Requiem. There are many ways to lose a wife. This one is pretty dated - it's several years old, and it shows - but still a good long read. See also the subsequent story Enigma (below).
Not My Lover: Enigma 1 2 3 4 5
WORK IN PROGRESS. NC17 Krycek/Marita backstory, spanning the period from The Erlenmyer Flask through to Apocrypha. The death of Marita's protector and a shocking revelation about the Project leads her to the brink of darkness in her search for the truth. But can she let in the one man who would stand at her side? This is a prequel to Not My Lover, but it is designed to be read second.
On The Outside 1 2 3
NC17 Colony tie-in, Samantha/Clone-Samantha. Not surprisingly, the return of Samantha Mulder is not what it seems. But it is not her brother who will be most betrayed, but her lover.
Offspring 1 2 3 4 5
NC17 mythology Scully/Skinner saga set after Apocrypha. Scully and Skinner's happiness at her unexpected pregnancy is shortlived when they discover the child is not theirs. But it is Scully, not Skinner, who is not the biological parent. This one is showing its age (1996), and the formatting needs cleaning up, but it's readable.
